Nathaniel "Trip Star" Lucas jr is from Montgomery County Rockville, Maryland Trip Star was born on 9/1/1991. He's an amazing hip-hop artist known as Trip Star. His musical Journey is one that began very early in his life. Having a musician as a father inspired him from the very beginning, and at the age of nine, he began going to his father’s band rehearsals, where he would write lyrics and rap on the mic. Young Trip Star would perform with his fathers band at outdoor events in and around Washington, D.C.
It was not until ninth grade that Trip Star realized he had found his niche in Hip Hop music. During freestyle battles, he often found himself being the life of the cypher. Today, Trip Star has evolved into a songwriter, one who has a way of telling stories with his songs that capture the listener’s attention. He writes about his life experiences and things he knows that other people can relate to or might be going through. Trip Star has a sound and style that’s very versatile, and he considers his sound to be the pulse of a movement.
Trip Star dropped his fist hit single “Last Call” May 31, 2016. He released his second single The Weekend July 21, 2018. In 2019 Trip Star teamed up with Atlanta's Hip Hop Legend Pastor Troy for his hit single Die Rich and he is still releasing music.
Trip Star is a humanitarian who gives back to the community. The summer of 2017 Trip Star was presented with an award from the Council of the District of Columbia for his community service. Trip Star's charity services made headlines across the DMV area and more.
Trip Star won the "MAMA" Award for hip-hop artist of the year. Trip Star would spend his time performing and planning for future entrepreneur ventures outside of music. As an entrepreneur Trip Star was faced with a variety of pandemic based challenges early on. This led to Trip Star taking time off from music to launch MY TEAM COLLECTIBLES LLC (Hobby Shop) & ASTERISK WEB DESIGN SERVICES (Web & Graphic design agency). Both companies serve as an expansion of Trip Star's creativity in both business and art.
